Microsoft Defender XDR
Microsoft Defender XDR joins Microsoft's protection for devices, email, identities and cloud apps into one place. Instead of four consoles raising separate alerts, related signals are grouped into a single incident that shows how an attack moved across your business. We deploy it, tune it to how you work and cut alert noise so your team sees what matters most.
What we do
- Defender for Endpoint. Onboard Windows, macOS and mobile devices to Defender for Endpoint, with attack surface reduction rules, tamper protection, network protection and device isolation ready when you need it.
- Defender for Office 365. Configure Defender for Office 365 policies for phishing, impersonation, Safe Links and Safe Attachments, with user reporting and attack simulation where your licence includes them.
- Defender for Identity. Deploy Defender for Identity sensors on your domain controllers to spot credential theft, lateral movement and suspicious changes to on-premises Active Directory.
- Defender for Cloud Apps. Use Defender for Cloud Apps to find the cloud services your people use, control risky apps and apply policies to OAuth app permissions.
- Incidents and automation. Set up incidents, alert tuning and automated investigation and response, so routine threats can be contained automatically, where you choose to allow it.
- Advanced hunting. Build advanced hunting queries and custom detections for the risks specific to your environment.
Why Defender XDR
- One view of an attack. A phishing email, the device that opened it and the account it stole are shown as one incident, not three alerts.
- Built into what you already use. Defender works with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune, so there are fewer agents to install and fewer products to integrate.
- Often already licensed. Many Microsoft 365 plans include parts of Defender. We map what your licences already give you before you buy anything new.
- Automatic response. Defender can isolate a device, disable a compromised account or remove a malicious email across mailboxes, automatically or on approval.
How we work
We start with a read of your current Defender settings and licences, then agree a written plan ranked by risk. Rollout is staged, starting in audit mode where it can affect users, to limit disruption to your people. You keep the documentation and the tuning notes. We design and configure Defender; we do not monitor it or respond to incidents on your behalf.
